367 new COVID-19 deaths reported in NY state
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Sunday that 367 new coronavirus deaths were reported in the state over the past 24 hours, bringing New York’s total COVID-19 death toll to 22,095. Still, today’s daily death toll is the lowest it has been the end of March.
Meanwhile, the number of hospitalizations climbed by 1,000 since yesterday, according to the governor.
Cuomo noted the number of hospitalizations and intubations continues to decrease, as well as the number of new confirmed infections. Still, he stressed hospitalizations have to be in decline for at least 14 days for the state to start reopening businesses and pointed out that the reopening must come in phases.
