6.0-magnitude quake strikes Taiwan – TeleTrader.com
An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 struck off the eastern coast of Taiwan on Monday, Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau said. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) measured the quake’s magnitude at 6.2.
The epicenter of the quake was registered 140 kilometers from Taiwan’s capital Taipei at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The tremor comes a day after at least 15 people were injured in an earthquake in China’s southwestern Yunnan province.
