COVID-19 cases surge by record 34,918 in Brazil
Brazil registered 34,918 coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, raising the nation’s total to 923,189, the country’s health officials unveiled on Tuesday. The daily jump in COVID-19 cases was at its highest since the pandemic started.
The number of fatalities related to the virus reached 45,241 nationwide after Brazilian health authorities identified 1,282 COVID-19-caused deaths since yesterday’s update, marking a week-high.
A total of 441,729 people in Brazil successfully recovered from coronavirus so far, according to official data.
