DoJ, AGs to discuss Google lawsuit on June 26 – report
The United States Justice Department (DoJ) and a group of state attorneys generals (AGs) will meet on June 26 to discuss the next steps in bringing a likely antitrust case against Google, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday citing people familiar with the matter.
The talks will focus on the scope of the legal complaint against Google, as well as attorneys general’s view over possible joining of their lawsuit with the one of the Justice Department. The lawsuit is said to be expected during the summer.
Last month, the outlet also reported that the DoJ and some attorney generals are preparing antitrust lawsuits against Google as they see the company’s dominance over the competition in the ad and search technology.
