EU may ban Americans’ arrivals as borders reopen – report
The European Union (EU) could forbid United States citizens to enter its borders when it reopens them in July, according to documents seen by the New York Times, as the country failed to successfully contain the coronavirus outbreak.
The EU is considering barring travel from a number of countries with high COVID-19 case rates and is currently considering two potential lists of acceptable visitors based on how countries are faring with the coronavirus pandemic. Both include China, as well as developing nations like Uganda, Cuba, and Vietnam.
The final decision is due to be reached early next week, as the bloc is due to reopen the borders on July 1.
