Trump approves Hurricane Douglas emergency declaration
United States President Donald Trump approved an emergency declaration due to Hurricane Douglas, which is expected to hit the Hawaii islands.
According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Pete Gaynor, Trump demanded federal assistance to enhance state and local response efforts as well.
Meanwhile, the US Vice President Mike Pence looked back at another hurricane dubbed Hanna. He tweeted: “As Hurricane #Hanna approaches South Texas, we urge everyone in the area to heed the advice and warnings of state and local officials and stay safe.”
