Focusing on growth, new jobs key to recovery – Calvino
Jumpstarting the economic growth in the European Union and focusing on securing more job openings in the near future is paramount to returning the bloc’s economy to the pre-pandemic levels, Spanish Finance Minister Nadia Calvino (pictured) revealed on Tuesday.
Delivering the opening remarks at an economic forum in Brussels, Calvino said: “Our focus should be on kickstarting growth and job creation as soon as possible.”
She added that the EU “must make sure that the investment is protected,” and urged member states to “act fast and decisively,” stressing that “actions today will certainly shape the future of Europe.”
