UK-EU trade talks ‘void’ without Brexit deal – Irish PM
Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin (pictured) stated on Tuesday that the trade talks between the European Union and the United Kingdom would be nullified without the full implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement.
“The withdrawal agreement is an international treaty and we expect the UK government to implement and to adhere to what was agreed. We trust them to do so or they would render the talks process null and void,” Martin said.
Martin’s statement comes following reports that London is preparing new legislation that would go against the agreement on the state aid and Northern Ireland customs.
