Nadal beats Schwartzman, heads into Roland Garros final
Second seed and twelve-time Roland Garros champion Rafael Nadal cruised into another final at the French Open after beating Argentinian Diego Schwartzman in straight sets.
Nadal was in control of the match from the very beginning, breaking the 12th seed early in the first two sets. The Argentine put up a fight in the third as the two exchanged several breaks of serve. The Spaniard kept his cool in the tie-break to win it 7-0 and set the final score at 6-3 6-3 7-6.
In Sunday’s final, Nadal will play the winner of the second semi-final between Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
