Barr doesn’t expect Durham’s findings before vote – report
United States Attorney General William Barr (pictured) doesn’t expect the findings of the Department of Justice’s probe into the FBI’s 2016 investigation of the alleged ties between US President Donald Trump and Russia to be revealed until the country’s presidential elections, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar to the matter.
Barr has been asking the Connecticut US attorney John Durham to reveal at least a partial report before the vote, the report read and added that Durham’s team refused by saying it needs more time to conduct the probe properly.
Barr’s pressure was also one of the main reasons for Nora Dannehy, the top prosecutor in Durham’s team, to quit her post, the report concluded.
