Switzerland sees record 10,073 daily infections
The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health announced on Wednesday that 10,073 people were diagnosed with the COVID-19 during the last 24 hours, as the number of COVID-related cases jumped to 192,376 since the beginning of the pandemic.
Accordingly, 73 people died from the virus over the last day, with the death toll reaching 2,275.
The Swiss Federal Council already imposed nationwide counter-COVID measures, aiming to control the rapid spread of the virus in the country.
