Dow soars 600 pts with focus on election, data
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index jumped 600 points on Wednesday as investors seemingly digested economic data reports and monitored the latest United States presidential election developments.
The Dow Jones surged 2.23%, or 614 points, at 10:57 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 soared 4.50% at 10:58 am ET, while the S&P 500 was up 2.81% a minute later.
The euro was flat compared to the dollar to go for 1.17070 at 11:00 am ET.
