Trump questions voting machines’ accuracy
Sitting United States President Donald Trump on Twitter challenged the accuracy of Dominion Voting Systems’ equipment which was used in the 2020 presidential election.
The head of state suggested an attempt of mass voter fraud may have been unveiled after the ballot-counting machines caused a voting problem in what was described as a glitch in the system. “It attempted to alter our election and got caught?” Trump wrote as an answer to a tweet that questioned the system at issue.
A voting problem occurred in Georgia’s Morgan and Spalding counties on Election Day that prevented voters from casting ballots, which an election supervisor explained away as a glitch caused by an update uploaded the day before. The issue prompted a judge to allow an extension of voting hours in the two counties in question.
