Europe opens mostly lower amid post-Brexit deal talks
Major stock markets in Europe traded mostly lower at the opening bell on Monday with investors monitoring post-Brexit trade talks. The United Kingdom will continue trade negotiations with the European Union either until there is no point or a deal is reached, British junior Minister James Cleverly stated.
The DAX traded 0.23% lower at the open with Muench Ruekvers falling by 1.41%. The FTSE 100 rose by 0.32% with BP Plc growing by 0.11%. The CAC 40 declined by 0.24% as Credit Agricole fell by 1.00%.
The euro stood flat against the dollar to sell for $1.21205 at 9:00 am CET. At the same moment, the pound sterling lost 0.50% to the United States’ currency to change hands for $1.33694.
