US shares lower premarket after record highs
Shares on Wall Street moved lower during premarket trading on Monday after major indices closed at record highs at the end of the previous session.
Investors continued to monitor the coronavirus crisis, keeping an eye out for stimulus talks in Washington. The San Francisco Bay Area is the latest US region to tighten COVID-19 containment measures, with residents ordered to stay at home until at least January 4.
The Dow Jones fell 0.66% at 4:15 am ET, while the S&P 500 lost 0.63%. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 was down 0.37%. The euro dropped 0.35% against the dollar at 4:25 am ET, buying 1.120852.
