Iran denies rumors on Khamenei’s health
An Iranian official close to the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Monday denied rumors that the head of state is suffering from health issues which forced him to transfer some of his duties to his son.
“By the grace of God and with the good prayers of devotees, [Khamenei] is in good health and is busy vigorously carrying out his plan according to his routine,” Mehdi Fazaeli stated on Twitter.
Last month, Khamenei ordered retaliation against those responsible for the killing of Iran’s head nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
