Russian economy can pick up faster than expected – expert
The Russian economy could recover from the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic quicker than expected, the country’s Central Bank Head Elvira Nabiullina (pictured) stated on Friday.
“We expect a stable restart of recovering growth next spring,” she told TASS. “The experience of summer and early fall shows that the recovery can progress rather quickly as the situation normalizes.”
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin recently predicted the country’s output would contract around 4% in 2020 as a result of the pandemic.
