DoJ’s Google case trial ‘unlikely’ before late 2023 – judge
Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia Amit Mehta stated on Friday the Department of Justice’s (DoJ) antitrust lawsuit against Alphabet Inc.’s Google would likely not go to trial before late 2023.
Prior to the statement, the judge set September 12, 2023, as a provisional date for the start of the trial, which both parties involved in the case agreed to.
Back in October, the DoJ filed a lawsuit against Google, claiming the tech giant violated the country’s antitrust laws.
