China says Trump admin reason for strained relations with US
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi (pictured) accused the previous United States administration of impairing the relations between the two countries.
He claimed that former President Donald Trump’s administration inflicted “immeasurable damage” to bilateral relations adding, however, that the areas for cooperation are now expanding. Yi also noted that Beijing has no intentions of challenging or replacing the US and that the country had never interfered in American internal affairs.
Talking about the US-China relations, the senior diplomat went on to urge the leaders of the two nations to re-activate dialogue and follow up on their phone call from several weeks ago, in which President Joe Biden underscored his concerns regarding China’s economic practices, and human rights abuses.
