Sullivan: US welcomes stiff competition with China
White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan (pictured) said on Thursday that Washington welcomes healthy competition with China.
Speaking during the first high-level meeting between China and the US since US President Joe Biden took the Oval Office, Sullivan stressed that the Biden administration is not looking for conflict with Beijing, but is determined to stand up for its “principles and friends.”
Previously, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed that China poses threat to global stability.
