Biden infrastructure plan worth $2.25 trillion – report
United States President Joe Biden will unveil a $2.25 trillion infrastructure and jobs package on Wednesday, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday citing two sources familiar with the matter.
According to the report, the plan will include roughly $650 billion for roads, bridges, highways, and ports, as part of the administration’s promise to rebuild and invest in critical infrastructure across the country. Meanwhile, the proposal will also include $400 billion for elderly and disabled care, $300 billion for housing infrastructure, and $300 billion allocated towards manufacturing.
Earlier this week, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that President Biden is open to hearing other ideas on how to fund this ambitious package besides an increase in the corporate tax rate.
