Russian official presumes sending troops to Ukraine
Russian lawmaker and head of the Communist Party Gennadiy Zyuganov (pictured) commented on the upcoming congressional meeting on April 23, saying he does not rule out the possibility of a decision to send troops to the warzone in Ukraine.
The meeting is scheduled to be held shortly after President Vladimir Putin will have delivered his annual state of the nation address on April 21. Both chambers of the parliament will assemble for “quick implementation” of the president’s orders.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invited his Russian counterpart to meet “anywhere in the Ukrainian Donbas where the war is going on”.
