Navalny regains health after hunger strike – official
Alexey Navalny, a Russian opposition politician and a Kremlin critic, has regained health after undergoing a three-week-long hunger strike, Director of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service Alexander Kalashnikov stated on Thursday.
“He eats regular meals and has an opportunity to communicate with his family,” Kalashnikov told a news conference, as translated by TASS.
Navalny, whose health deteriorated in 2020 due to an alleged poisoning, is serving a three-and-a-half-year sentence over multiple probation violations.
