US expresses concerns over China’s industrial policies
United States Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo (pictured) held a phone conversation with her Chinese counterpart Wang Wentao on Thursday, during which she expressed concerns over China’s “unfair and market-distorting industrial policies.”
Raimondo also stressed the need to “level the playing field for US companies in China” and the importance of protecting American technology and innovations from illegal unauthorized users.
Earlier, Beijing passed first of its kind legislation countering sanctions other countries imposed on it and providing support and guarantees against foreign “unilateral and discriminatory measures.”
