NATO: Russia’s actions threaten Atlantic area security
North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) accused on Monday Russia of threatening the security of the Euro-Atlantic area through its actions.
In a communique published after the summit, NATO blasted Russia over its “growing multi-domain military build-up, more assertive posture, novel military capabilities, and provocative activities, including near NATO borders,” as well as for “repeated violations of NATO Allied airspace.”
The organization also slammed Russia’s diversification of nuclear arsenal, stating that Moscow’s nuclear rhetoric is “aggressive and irresponsible.”
