Iran’s Raisi not willing to meet Biden
Iranian President-elect Ebrahim Raisi said on Monday that he is not willing to meet American President Joe Biden.
Raisi claimed that Iranian people “do not have happy memories of” the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as the United States failed to fulfill its obligations under the nuclear deal. He urged Biden to remove all sanctions against Tehran if he wants to show he is serious about wanting a return to the deal.
However, Raisi, who won last week’s presidential election, insisted any potential new nuclear agreement will not include ballistic missiles and proxies despite such requests from the US.
