London fire now ‘under control’ – authorities
The London Fire Brigade announced on Monday that the fire that broke out at the Elephant and Castle railway station in South London “is now under control.”
“Firefighters will remain at the scene for the next few hours to dampen down the scene. Road closures are still in place in the area,” the UK capital’s fire and rescue service wrote in a tweet.
While at least three commercial units underneath the station were damaged in the blaze, there were no reports of injuries so far.
