NY auto show canceled for 2nd year in a row
The New York International Auto Show has been canceled for the second year in a row amid the concerns about the Delta variant of COVID-19, the event’s organizers announced on Wednesday.
“We were increasingly excited at the prospect of hosting the event as the number of vaccinations in New York continued to climb, and mask-wearing reduced the spread in the city. All signs were positive, and the show was coming together stronger than ever, but today is a different story,” the event’s president Mark Schienberg stated.
This year’s New York International Auto Show was supposed to open on August 20.
