US vows to hold Russia liable ‘for aggression’
The United States will work to hold Russia “accountable for its aggression” against Ukraine, a statement issued on Wednesday by the White House read.
The statement, published after the meeting between US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, accused Moscow of causing 14,000 casualties in Ukraine, as well as destabilizing Europe, and threatening the global order.
“Together, we call on Russia to recommit to the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine and engage genuinely in conflict resolution efforts to end the war,” the statement read.
