Kremlin ‘not discussing’ option of another lockdown
Kremlin is not discussing the possibility of introducing another lockdown in order to curb the spread of COVID-19, its spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on Thursday.
“Of course, the government task force keeps a close watch on the situation. Above all, the heads of regions carry out thorough monitoring,” he said. “But as far as I know, even though statistics are on the rise, no decisions [on implementing a lockdown] have been made anywhere.”
His remarks come the day Russia equaled its record in deaths from coronavirus registered daily of 820.
