EMA reviews Moderna’s booster shot for teenagers
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) unveiled on Monday it has started reviewing data on the safety and the effectiveness of Moderna Inc.’s COVID-19 booster shot for people aged 12 and older.
The agency issued a statement, explaining it will “carry out an accelerated assessment” of the vaccine, known since recently as Spikevax.
EMA’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) “will recommend whether updates to the product information are appropriate,” the agency noted.
