Europe opens lower ahead of investor confidence data
Major European stock markets opened lower on Monday prior to the release of the Sentix Investor Confidence survey for October scheduled to be published later today. Meanwhile, British finance minister Rishi Sunak was set to announce a £500 million extension to the government’s jobs plan during the day.
The DAX declined by 0.55% at the opening bell, with Adidas AG declining 2.63%. The FTSE 100 lost 0.27%, as Bt Group decreased by 5.71%. The CAC 40 fell by 0.63%. The euro stood 0.07% higher against the dollar to sell for 1.16012 at 9:01 am CET, while the pound slipped by 0.07% to $1.35348.
