US to keep tariffs on China ahead of new trade talks
The Biden administration is set to start a new round of trade talks with China while maintaining tariffs on Chinese imports, according to a report published by The Wall Street Journal on Monday.
Trade Representative Katherine Tai is expected to announce the government’s new policy later today following the review that has started with the administration shift in Washington at the start of 2021.
The speech will mark Tai’s first official policy address on the trade relations between the world’s two biggest economies.
