French govt raises 2021 GDP forecast to 6.25%
French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Monday that the government has revised its economic growth forecast for 2021 upward to 6.25%.
“Growth is strong, solid and dynamic, so we will revise the growth forecast for 2021 from 6% to 6.25%. In December 2021, we will return to the pre-crisis level of [economic] activity,” Le Maire noted, adding that France’s public deficit won’t surpass 5% next year.
