S. Korea’s COVID cases fall below 6,000
Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) revealed that the number of newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Korea fell below 6,000, despite critical cases rising to a record high.
After the newly registered 5,842 cases are included, the total number of people who tested positive for the virus in the country reached 602,051.
In the meantime, the number of critically ill patients hit an all-time high of 1,105, as 105 new deaths were registered, bringing the country’s death toll to 5,176.
