US up in premarket ahead of first session in 2022
Equities in the United States traded higher in the premarket on Monday ahead of the release of the newest updates on the country’s manufacturing sector and construction spending. Earlier, President Joe Biden reaffirmed the warning Washington will “respond decisively” if Russia launches a new military action against Ukraine.
Moreover, Tesla Inc. announced it delivered a record of more than 308,000 electric vehicles (EV) in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The Dow Jones went up by 0.37% or 133 points at 4:30 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 rose by 0.49%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.38%. The euro lost 0.34% to the dollar at 4:27 am ET to go for $1.13450.
