US reaffirms readiness to respond to Russia’s actions
United States President Joe Biden in a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reaffirmed Washington’s readiness to “respond decisively” if Russia further invades the country, the White House said in a statement.
Biden told his Ukrainian counterpart that the US is exploring “additional macroeconomic support” for Ukraine’s economy amid the pressure alongside the nation’s border with Russia. He also noted that the US embassy in Kiev remains operational despite some of the personnel being evacuated.
