Belarus could consider ‘special ops’ in Ukraine
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Sunday that “harassment of Belarusians” could push Belarus to carry out a “special operation” in Ukraine, according to Sputnik News. He claimed Belarusian citizens in Ukraine are “subjected to beatings.”
Lukashenko insisted there are currently no Belarusian troops or weapons in Ukraine, but that his government has developed a “defense plan” and is waiting for military equipment from Russia. He also alleged weapons are “smuggled into Belarus from Ukraine as gangs had geared up for provocations” against his regime.
