Russia’s Aeroflot to halt all flights abroad on March 8
Russian flag carrier Aeroflot announced on Saturday it will stop flying outside the country starting from March 8 due to sanctions imposed by western states on Russia.
The only exception will be Belarus, to which flights will continue as planned, while flights within the country won’t be affected. Passengers won’t be able to buy a round-trip ticket for flights past next Tuesday, while those traveling in one direction will be able to reach their destination.
The airliner will try to arrange returning flights for those who find themselves abroad after the flights are terminated, the statement concluded.
