Italy’s number of coronavirus deaths hits 233
The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Italy climbed to 233 on Saturday, the country’s authorities confirmed.
According to the latest update, Italy overtook Iran as the third most affected country with 5,883 diagnosed with COVID-19.
Earlier today, Nicola Zingaretti, the leader of Italy’s Democratic Party, announced he has the coronavirus, but added he is feeling well and has placed himself in self-isolation at home.
