Dow up 100 pts premarket as NYC outbreak eases
Stocks in the United States increased gains in the premarket on Wednesday shortly after New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio revealed the rate of people needing ventilators is declining. Meanwhile, the total amount of coronavirus cases in the US surpassed 400,000. while the overall death toll stood around 13,000.
The Dow traded 0.53% higher at 7:50 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 concurrently gained 0.48%. A minute later, the S&P 500 advanced by 0.29%.
The euro lost 0.22% versus the dollar to sell for $1.08672 at 7:53 am ET.
