Germany: 331 more people die of coronavirus
Health officials in Germany have registered 331 additional fatalities due to the coronavirus over the last 24 hours, with the death count now standing at 3,592.
Over the same time period, 2,054 new infections were recorded, driving the total figure to 133,154. Meanwhile, a total of 71,983 patients were discharged from hospitals, after 5,004 were released over the previous day.
Chancellor Angela Merkel announced earlier in the day that resumption of economic activities will start on April 20, but that large public gatherings are forbidden until August 31. The nation has to “learn to live with the virus until there is a vaccine,” she stated.
