Henkel sales down 0.9% to €4.93M in Q1
Henkel AG & Company posted on Monday its quarterly statement for the first three months of the year, stating its sales landed at €4.93 million, nominally slipping by 0.8% compared to the same quarter of 2019. For the same period, the company’s organic sales declined by 0.9%.
Commenting on the results, Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel said that “The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all areas of life and also hit the global economy very hard,” adding that “the health and safety of employees, customers and business partners are of the highest priority.”
Previously, the German chemical and consumer goods company decided to withdraw its forecast for fiscal 2020 due to uncertainties connected to the development of the coronavirus pandemic.
