Airbus confirms its plane crashed in Pakistan
Airbus confirmed on Friday that the plane that crashed earlier that day in the Pakistani city of Karachi is their A320.
“We regret to confirm that an A320 operated by Pakistan International Airlines was involved in an accident during flight #PK8303 from Lahore to Karachi on May 22 2020. Our thoughts are with all those affected. Airbus is providing assistance to the investigation,” the company wrote on Twitter. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has confirmed an “immediate inquiry will be instituted.”
It was initially reported there were no survivors, but the definitive statement is yet to be made after the rescue team has concluded its search.
