Crude grows ahead of OPEC meeting
Oil prices gained on Friday after media reported that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies (OPEC+) are set to hold ministerial meetings on Saturday.
According to several reports, Iraq agreed to make up in July for failing to meet oil output requirements, paving a path for holding meetings of both OPEC and OPEC+ to discuss a potential extension of the deal on crude production cuts.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for settlements in July increased 0.61% at 3:17 am ET, going for $37.64 per barrel. Meanwhile, Brent August delivery added 1.00% to trade for $40.39 per barrel at 3:21 am ET.
