Abbott Labs launches new COVID-19 rapid test in US
Abbott Laboratories announced on Wednesday the launch of its newest COVID-19 quick test, which can identify if a person has had the novel coronavirus. The test should provide a better understanding of the virus, according to the statement.
The company revealed it will start shipping new tests tomorrow across the United States, starting with a four million batch in April and boosting the production to 20 million tests per month from June.
Back in March, The US Food and Drug Administration approved Abbott’s rapid coronavirus test which can deliver results within 13 minutes.
