Amazon launches boot camp for space startups
Amazon Web Services (AWS) vice-president Sandy Carter announced on Tuesday the launch of a new assistance program for space startups in partnership with a British venture firm Seraphim Capital.
The AWS Space Accelerator is a four-week project aimed at mentoring and supporting participating startups, ten of which will receive $100,000 as a credit to purchase Amazon’s cloud services.
“Startups provide a catalyst for bold new experimentation in the space industry. We look forward to helping the first cohort of companies launch and grow through this new program,” said Clint Crosier, the director of the AWS Aerospace and Satellite division.
