Amazon pilots video calls to confirm sellers’ identities
Amazon.com Inc said it has started piloting the use of video conference calls in order to confirm the seller’s identity who wants to trade on its platform.
This step was decided after numerous fakes that started to bother top labels like Apple Inc and Nike Inc which then halted their selling.
According to the company, the pilot started already in February this year but because of social distancing regarding the coronavirus outbreak, it has now been piloted with more than 1,000 sellers over China, the United States, United Kingdom and Japan.
