Amazon’s share of US digital market exceeds 10% – report
Amazon.com Inc. now holds more than one-tenth of the digital ad market in the United States, the Wall Street Journal stated on Tuesday, citing research firm eMarketer.
The e-commerce giant’s share increased from 7.8% in 2019 to 10.3% in 2020, the company reportedly said, predicting its stake will reach 12.8% in 2023.
“This is one of these situations where the pandemic accelerated something that was happening anyway. We are expecting pretty notable continued gains in share through at least 2023, specifically looking at the search side,” eMarketer’s analyst said according to WSJ.
