Andreessen Horowitz to raise $1B for its 3rd crypto fund – report
Andreessen Horowitz, a United States venture capital firm, intends to raise between $800 million and $1 billion to invest in “cryptocurrency and crypto start-ups,” the Financial Times reported on Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The new fund would be the company’s third crypto-focused pool, which would make Andreessen Horowitz a company with one of the largest capitals dedicated to cryptocurrencies, the report added.
“Andreessen’s fundraising haul would rival the pool of capital raised by Paradigm, a cryptocurrency investment firm started by Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam and former Sequoia Capital partner Matt Huang in 2018,” the outlet explained.
